About Grand Finale Desserts & Pastries

Justin Raha, the owner and pastry chef at Grand Finale Desserts & Pastries, has been baking his whole life. Starting in the kitchen of his parents home, Justin always found ways to experiment by trying new recipes, tweaking ingredients, and creating some of his very own baked goods. He has always been passionate about baking – it was a natural talent of his and he became involved early at The Grand Haven Bakehouse. Throughout high school and college, Justin worked in the hospitality industry which has helped to build his positive reputation throughout the lakeshore area. Not only has Justin had plenty of courses and experience with baking, he has also worked with some of the very best during his training and internships.

Having achieved a degree in Business with an emphasis on Culinary Arts including a certification of pastries and baking, Justin was determined to continue using his gifts and pursue his own business. He started making truffles and homemade candies through the use of the kitchen at the Grand Haven Bakehouse which transitioned into Grand Finale Desserts & Pastries. The business has been up and running since winter of 2006 and Justin has since become a Pastry Instructor at the Culinary Institute of Michigan in addition to running his own business.
